. ME TEAVEES AND THE "LYTTELTON TIMES." About a fortnight ago an article appeared in the Lyttelton Times, criticising the speeches of some of the Canterbury members upon the Financial Statement. Among others, Mr Travers came in for his share. Though the writer waa perfectly fair in what he said, and the criticism was temperate enough, Mr Travers made it a pretence for getting up a mighty show of anger. An address to the electors of Christ-' church, resigning his seat, was the* consequence. We reprint both the address and reply, which will probably amuse our readers.
