The English Mail.
Bluff, July 13. The b.p. Claud Hamilton left Hobson's Bay at 3 p.m. on July 7 ; passed i Port; Phillip Heads at 6 o'clock, aDd Gape Schank at 8 o'clock the same night, and Swan Island at 5 p.m. the following day. Experienced fine weather during the passage, and made the S.W. Gape at 5 p.m. on July 12 ; entered Bluff Harbour at dayligkt this morning. Passengers: F*r Dunedin — Mr and Mrs Whittirigton and child, Miss Bead, and Mr Hyan. For Wellington — Mr and Miss Shaw, Mr Moore, Mr McArthur. For Hokitika— Mr Gh Coates, Mr Finlay, and 120 in the steerage. The Bangatira arrived at Glenelg on July 2, at 4 o'clock. She reports that one of the Malta's engines had broken down on the voyage to King George's Sound. The mails were transhipped to the Avoca, and she returned to Melbourne, reaching Hobson's Bay on the afternoon of July 6.
