CLEARED. May 23 — Charlotte, schooner, 24 tons, Jbhnson, for Westport. imports. In the Margaret, Master, agent, 13,000 feet timber, Belcher and Fairweather. EXPORTS. In the Charlotte, Master, agent: 300 bags oats, 1 ton cheese, 1 ton onions, 1 ton carrots, 10 tons potatoes, Callender, Newnham and Co..
Yesterday evening a very severe sou'west gale, accompanied by rain and sleet, •was experienced in Lyttelton. The schooner Bee dragged her anchor, and was driven ashore, but did not sustain any material damage, beyond the carrying away of her rudder.
