Consols are firm. The Bank of England is in a strong position. Money is plentiful at 3 to 3£. Colonial securities are in brisk I demand. New Zealand January and July 6 per cents, 1891, are 107 to 109 ; ditto 5 per cents, 96 to 97 ; ditto fives consolidated, 96£ to 971 ; ditto March and September sixeß, 105 to 107 ; ditto June and December sixes, 107 to 109. The exports to New Zealand show an increase of £355 (for the month ? ). Flax is dull; three hundred bales sold on March 17, brought the following prices:— Extra fine, 375; good, 30s ; ordinary, 22s per cwt. The quantity of New Zealand wool sold is inconsiderable;
