MAIL NOTICES.
Mails for Timaru, Otago, and Southland, will close at 1.45 p.m. on Friday, 20th inst. Letters for the Australian colonies will be forwarded overland, closing at 6 p.m., and late letters at 5 a.m. on Friday, 20th inst., such letters to be specially addressed via Hokitika. Mails for , Northern, provinces of New Zealand will clone at 9.15 a.m on Friday, the 20th inst. Mails for United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, and America and West Indies, via San Francisco, will close on Wednesday, June 1. Hour will be given in a future notice.
