The Star. SATURDAY, APRIL 30,1870,.
... — ■ • •«». .. — We congratulate the Press on the, for it, fortunate fact that steamers still arrive occasionally from Wellington. Our. contemporary's leading columns of this morning contain ample evidence that the politically dead can yet speak in something like the old style. Bat is it prudent, is it judicious to let the electors see so. plainly the hand of the old master just at this particular time? We think not. Does it t not confirm the suspicion that this same old master has again, in the person of Mr Bolleston, found a puppet ? Might. not the leading article in our contemporary of this morning be appropriately: headed "Mr Eolleston Announcing His Policy." The Press should have kept
the article for Monday morning. Most people read shipping reports, and, seeing that two steamers came in from
Wellington yesterday, they will easily account for the brilliantly abusive article in this morning's paper. Indeed, the name of the author might as well have been written at the end of it.
