CHRISTCHURCH. This Dat. (Before C. C. Bowen, Esq , R.M.) Drunk am> Kiotous. — Andrew McTaggart, against whom there were six previous convictions for intemperance and violent conduct in the public streets, was charged with having been drunk and fighting in the vicinity of tbe Theatre last night. Constable Wilson proved the case, by which it appeared that accused hnd annoyed a vendor of fruit, and wanted him to fight. When the man would not do so, McTaggart pulled him about and kicked him. A fine of 40s was imposed.
