MAIL NOTICES.
Mails will close at the chief post-office, Christchurch as under : — For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, aud the West Indies, on Monday, 28th instant, at 1.15 p.m. For money orders *■ at 10.30 a.m.; for registration of letters, at 11 a.m.; for newspapers, at 12 noon. Late letters for the above places may be posted till 2 p.m. Such letters must bear the usual late fee in postage stamps. For Northern provinces of New Zealand on Monday, 28th inst., at 1.45 p.m. Money orders may be obtained, letters, registered, and newspapers posted till 12.30 p.m. Mails for Northern ports of New Zealand will close at 1.45 p.m. on Friday, 25th inst. Mails for Otago and Southland will close at 11.15 p.m. on Saturday, 26th inst. i Mails for Northern Provinces of New Zealand will close at 1.45 p.m. on Friday, March 25. The s.s. Claud Hamilton will probably not leave Hokitika before Monday; correspondence for the Australian Colonies may therefore be posted till 6 p.m. on Thursday, the 25th instant, such correspondence to be specially addressed via Hokitika.
