-♦-- — : — * Napibb, Oct. 6, 6.21 p.m. Good accounts continue to arrive from Coromandel. Another crushing from the Long Drive claim returned 3oz 15dwt to the pound of stone. The Governor and Mr M'Lean arrived in Auckland on the 4th inst. Col. McDonnell is still snowed in. Timaetj, Oct. 6, 4.52 p.m. ; Mr Horton was elected for the Provincial Council to-day, Mr White not being qualified. Mr Horton explained that he could not attend during the whole of the session, and only consented to stand that a rote might not be lost on the Timaru question.
