TnE barque Crishna arrived in harbour this morning from Newcastle. She left that port on Aug. 1 6 ; experienced strong westerly breezes to Queen Charlotte Sound; anchored there on Aug. 26 on accouut of heavy S.E. gale; left on Aug. 30, in company with the schooner Banshee, laden with timber for Dunedin. The Crishna brings a cargo of coals consigned to Mr C. W. Turner, Christchurch. The CS. Co.'s s.s. Airedale arrived in harbour to-day at 12.15. She left the Bluff on the 30th August at 4.15 p.m.; encountered N.N.W. winds, with fine weather; arrived at Port Chalmers at 6.30 a.m. on the 31st; went into the floating dock the same morning, when she was cleaned and repainted, and had new bosses fixed to her screw-shaft; came out of dock, loaded, and sailed on Ist September at 4.30 p.m.; encountered fresh N.E. winds; passed Alhambra at 3.15 this morning. The M.A. and N.Z. Co.'s s.s. Tararua, Captain Hagley, arrived in harbour this morning at 11.20, from Melbourne, via Bluff andDunediii. Tlie Tararua left Melbourne at 3 p.m. on Aug. 24 ; made a splendid run to the Bluff of four days eight hours, having experienced westerly gales during the passage ; left the Bluff at 5 p.m. on Aug. 29 ; arrived in Port Chalmers at daylight on Aug. 30, sailing again on Sept. lat 4.30 p.m. ; arriving in harbour as above.
