This Day. (Before C.C.Boweri, Esq., R.M.) Nuisancb.— C. Pateraon, of the London Resteraunt, Cashel streel?, was charged with having, failed to abate existing on hisv premises, of whi-li he had* repeatedly beep cautioned. Sergt. t Jeffry, 1 Constable Eares, and the Inspector of Nuisances, proved to having inspected the premises on i-everal occasions, and to having found a very offensive smell in the yard at therearof the house. They had cautioned accused to remove the tub, and to improve the yard with a view to abating the nuisance, but neglecting to do so, a formal notice was served, and this also not being complied with, an information was (aid. The printed notice was served oh fhe 26th of November, and stipulated that the tub should be emptied' within : 'i twenty-four hours, and continue to be so "dealt' with every day. On examination on the 27th, the tub was still unemptied, arid the stench unabated. The next door neighbour of the 1 accused lia<i been similarly cautioned, and had complied at once. In defence, accused averred that the tub had been emptied as ordered, but his Worship not being satisfied of- this, imposed a flne^f 20s; remarking that accused could not be allowed to keep a fever trap on hia premises.
