WEDDING

RAMSHAW—BUTCHER At St. John the Baptist Church, Te Puke, the: wedding was recently solemnised of Zilla Ruby Butcher, only daughter of Mr and Mrs C. L. Butcher, of Te Puke, and Jasper, .Waugh Ramshaw, elder son of the late Mr and Mrs H. Ramshaw, of Lancashire, England. Ihe ceremony was perionned by the Rev. T. Moresby, while- Miss \V. Harris office iated at the organ. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of white French lace over white satin, fashioned with long tight-fitting sleeves finishing in a point over the back of the hand. The high neckline of the bodice was finished with a small roll collar. Tiny satin buttons fastened the frock at me back from the neckline tq the llip line, where a. flared panel fell to the ground to form an oval train. The skirt was cut on straight slim-fitting lines m deep graceful flares to the waist., liei' white tulle veil was gathered into a wreath of camelias and orange blossom to form a halo, felie carried a sheaf of arum lillies. In atiendance as bridesmaids were Miss Wanda Taylor (Hamilton) and Miss lna Ramshaw (Whakatane). They were dressed alike in frocks of pale green French lace over apple green .taffeta. The skirts were cut on straight slim-fitting lines m graceful Hares from the waist; and the Dodices were finished with square necklines and very full sleeves to the elbow. They wore pale green tulle veils to the shoulder, and carried posies of violets and silver fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Tom Hockey (Te Awamutu) as best man and Mr Jack La wry (Te Awamutu) as groomsman. In attendance at the church as usher was Mr Leslie. Butcher, brother of the bride. After the ceremony • a reception was held in the Parish Hall. The guests were received by Mr and Mrs Butcher, the latter wearing a, bottle green frock of wool georgette. Her toning felt hat was ornamented with ostrich feather and a veil, and she carried a bouquet in tones of gold. Mr and Mrs Ramshaw left later by car, the bride travelling in a forest green suit with matching accessories.
