CAPITOL THEATRE
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY There have been French Foreign Legion pictures before, and there will undoubtedly be French Foreign Legion pictures again, for this military organisation is ever surrounded by a romantic aura that none other can equal. A few pictures have done justice to the Legion’s adventuresome spirit and Columbia’s “Trouble in Morocco,” which opens at the Capitol Theatre tonight is certainly one of them. It’s a film as exciting as the crackle of machine-gun fire. Jack Holt, in the starring role, gives one of his best performances to date. Aside from doing some choice battling in the approved Holt fashion, Jack has ample opportunity to display his sense of humour, too. In the leading feminine role, Mao Clark reminds the audience that she is an excellent actress. Clever, witty, unquestionably talented, Miss Clark acquits herself admirably. Others who appear in prominent roles are C. Henry Gordon, Harold Huber, Victor Varconi, Paul Hurst, Bradley Page, and Oscar Apfel.
