“THE TE PUKE TIMES” TUESDAY, ,JULY 5, 1938

To-day renders of Tiie Te Puke Times may note the extension of our columns to twenty-four inches. This has been found necessary to cope with the additional advertising being received. The increase of two inches per column may not appear great, but covering the four pages, the difference is sixty-four inches or nearly three columns. The continued loyalty of the farming community (over 400 of whom we have as subscribers), and the businessmen of Te Puke in placing their advertising in our hands, has encouraged us to take this

step, and we trust that our future efforts in the district’s welfare, with the assistance of country correspondents, will meet with the approval of all. Our

columns are open for fair criticism, an 1 correspondence on all matters of interest will be welcomed and appreciated. We thank the public, businessmen an i the farming community for their past loyal support and trust that our future actions will in no way mar the friendship that has existed since the establishment of The Te Puke Times in 1912.
