BENEFIT DANCE

The Paengaroa Football Club’s dance, in aid of the injured player’s fund, was attended in great style by dancing enthusiasts on Wednesday evening. The interior of the Paengaroa Hall was brightly decorated with red, white and blue streamers, while huge horseshoes to match were placed in prominent positions on the stage.

Dancing and competitions were indulged in, music being supplied by Colin Castleton’s Orchestra, with extras by Miss N. Hicks. The winners of the competitions were: Monte Carlo, Miss R. Riddell of Tauranga and Mr S. Sherman; Box of Chocolates, Mr P. Kelly. The Ladies’ Committee was responsible for a supper worthy of the occasion and this was much appreciated. The duties of master of ceremonies were carried out in a most successful manner by Mr R. McKenzie.
