Anzac Stamps. The sale of Anzac Memorial Stamps during the period they were on offer in Te Puke netted £36 14s 9d. Half of this amount goes to the Returned Soldiers' Association.

Horse Values. Draught horses would appear to be in great demand ia South Otago. At a sale held at Balolutha a four-year-old realised £B2, while young mares and geldings made from £52 to £56 and spring-carters to £3l 10s.

Embargo on Imported Goods. Varying opinions of the desirability or otherwise of continuation of the present embargo on imported stock were expressed by members at the annual meeting of the Southern District Council of the Royal Agricultural Society on Wednesday night at Dunedin, After a short and brisk discussion it was deoided to give council delegates to the annual conference of the society, a free hand on the question.

Within the memory of veteran sportsmen, the only previous performance in the Auckland Province that can be compared with that of Little Ruse was that of a pony mare called Annoyed, who gained a fine reputation when pony raoing was in vogue.
