Trial Match at Gisborne
The following twelve Bay o Plenty players have been selected to play in the trial game at Cis'borne, on Monday next Potaka, Davies, Joyce, (Te Puke) ; Sinclair, Rhodes, (Tauranga) ; Lees, E. Howell, M. Howell, Whitely, Moore, (Rangitaiki) ; Broderick (Whakatane); Newth (Opotiki). Eighteen players from Gis-borne-Poverty Bay will make up the total of 30 men from which two teams will probably be selected.
After tb° game a team to meet Hawkes B.y BlaOk trial match will be chosen.
The All Black team to tour England will be selected aftpr the final trial game, Possibles v Pro babies, at Athletic Park, Wellington, on Saturday, June 15th.
The local fixtures for next Saturday are as follows : Maketu V Papimoa United, Rangiuru v Matakana (tfc TfiU'arga).. The former game should prove an » x citing contest for both the Make tu and papamoa- United teams are in good form, and when they met recently there was only one point between their scores,
Arrangements are being made ■ for a match to be played at Tauranga on Saturday, June 220 d, between a combined Tauranga”" : Te Puke team and a fifteen from , Auokhnd University. Nothing definite has yet been arranged but the s»me will probably eventuate. ■
