On Tuesday afternoon last, a meeting was held in McDowell’s Hall, Te Puke, at which Mrs Law, of Pongakawa, the recently elected Provincial Executive President took the chair. An address was given by Mrs Christian, and sup plemented by Mrs White (both of Tauranga) in which the working of the Division and the Housekeeper Scheme vvere outlined. After questions bad been askedand answered, it was decided to form a branch atTe Puke, to meet on third Tuesdays, the first meeting to be in McDowell's Hall, The President elected was Mrs Reid, of Papamoa, Vice Presidents Mes dames H. Innes and T H. Tanner. Mbs Emma Tanner was elected Secretary and Treasurer and Mrs Singleton, Competition Secretary. Assurances of help were given by the visitors, to whom votes of thanks were tc corded by acclamation.
