Wednesday, May Bth.
A monster gathering of town and country residents is expected at Rugby Park on Wednesday next, Bth inst., when a big Jubilee Sports meeting will be held, arrangements having been made by the local Athletic Club and those interested in the Children’s Sports to combine. Some of the leading athletes in the Auckland province will compete, while a great display by visiting axemen is expected. Military events and steerriding wiil be prominent on the programme.
