A Gratifying Rise An advance of 6 per cent for finest grade New Zealand butter was recorded at the week end, whilst butter arriving in London over the past few weeks is reported to have been taken up promptly by buyers operating for immediate requirements and the statistical position in London is stated to be sound. When the rate of exchange is taken into consideration, the recent rise is equivalent to 124 s per cwt. Steady offers are being made for New Zealand butter for shipment spread x over January, February and March.
