FIXING A TIME LIMIT
! FOR HOME RULE IN THE SOUTH ; STRONG MILITARY !; CAMPAIGN London, June 12. The “Sunday Express” says that the Government intends to fix a time limit for the Sinn Fein to operate the Home Rule Act in Southern Ireland. If the Sinn Fein prove recalcitrant the Government will begin at the end of July a vigorous military campaign to suppress disorder.
MORE MURDERS London, June 12. A party of men masquerading as soldiers, who said that they were taking the men to the barracks for identification, captured Merr, a barber, Mcßride, a publican, and Ha;i>v.ny, a postman, took them from t heir homes in North Belfast, .and shot them. The bodies were taken in motor cars and flung into Adds along the roadside. Head Constable Bill was murdered while going to mass at Kilbeggan, Westmeath. ■
SERIOUS RIOTING London, June 12. Serious rioting occurred in the York Street district of Belfast, where the police were outnumbered, Many rioters were wounded with revolvers, some seriously. Police reinforcements ended the trouble.
