Alt tough the. match Ranga-tawa-To Puke resulted in an easy win for the former, the game was very fast ii'i.i njr-n, some firstclass play tainjr witnessed on b<vh sides. Poiuipi, A. Hicks, an'l.-1. McEwen secured tries forKaugatawa, Gardiner converting one. Asher added points by drop kicking a goal from the field, making the total 15 points. ForTePuke W. Vercoe scored, Boucher converting. Mr P. Flvnn was referee.
In the match, Rangiuru v. Maketu. the latter got the verdict by 11 points to 5. The game was a very fair one, but towards the end the Rangiuru team lost confidence, and Maketu's dashing; rushes -completely disorganised them. Maketu has thus won its third game in succession. MrE. Montgomery controlled the game. ; In the first match of the junior competitions, United v. Rangiuru, the former, after a bustling game, won by 9 points to nil. Tries were secured by Palmer. Wilding andMcGrevy.

A careful scrutiny indicates that the above teams will be evenly matched and as the re spresentative team will be selected on the form shown, each player will be on his metal, and a sterling game should result. The match will start at 3 p.m. sharp,
