TE PUKE V. RAILWAY The above match on Saturday attracted a fair attendance despite the inclement weather. The Railway team was handicapped to a great extent owing to several of its best players being unable to attend. Nevertheless, the spectators were treated to a good game of footbill, as the teams seemed to be very evenly matched, and play at times fast and' exciting. The game resulted in a win for Te Puke by six points to 3. In the test match (Rugby) between Australia and New Zealand, clayed at Wellington on Saturday, the latter team won by 30 points to 5. Otago defeated Whirarapa by 11 points toG.
