In the little fishing village When the people read the news, In their ( paper, which gave a full account. They came to the conclusion They would like to close their stores Or move their place of business to the Mount. The Public Works Department Will surely pass a v-.ite, On the Iflst.iiiutes most probably w'II le Two hundred thousand pounds, For Uisbornc-Matita, And a live pound note for Bridge and from Waihi. The Bridge, of course you'll get it! Don't worry over that— But the train won't cross the Bridge I understand; You may seek a little pleasure On a Thursday afternoon, By viewing its pretty structure from the Strand. Of course, we'll have the railway From Gisborno to the MountA train runs to To Puke every day ; But on your Thursday holidays We will add an extra train, For convonitnee of our friends across the bay.
