TE-PUKE STOCK SALE.
There was a full yarding of cattle at Te Puke on Tuesday, abo.ut 1200 being offered. Very few, lines were passed, bidding being brisk and well sustained. The market was firm for all sorts. 'Quotations :-A line of four-year-old steers from Gisborne made £7 to £8 10s; forward condition 3yr steers, £7 Is to £7 2s 6d; good store condition do, £5 5s to £6 10s; 2to 2£yr steers, good, £5 12s Cd; others, £4 Is to £4175; yearling steers, £2 13s 6d to £3 15s; 2-year empty heifers, £3 12s to £4 12s 6d ; yearlingsteers, £235; store cows, £3 16s; mixed weaners, £2 2s to £2 14s ; choice springing cows, £6 to £8 15s; later calvers, £5 7s 6d to £6 ; cows in milk, £510s to £8; choice springing heifers, £6 5s to £8 10s; backward sorts, £4 5s to £6.
