To-morrow (Friday) and Saturday evenings Miss Zoe Bartley. Avill give her annual elocutionary and dramatic recital in the ToAvn Hall Concert Chamber, when she Avill present over 70 other pupils in carefully-chosen and attractive programmes of elocutionary, dramatic, humorous, and musical scenes and sketches. Many of the selections are being given here for the first time, and a great number of them will be given in appropriate costumes,with special lighting and dressing effects. Miss Bartley, Avho has always set a high standard in her own and her pupils Avork, has spared no pains to make the present performances Avorthy of her high reputation, and the result undoubtedly should be tAvo delightful entertainments. Every taste has been catered for, and intending patrons are advised to book their seats at once. The box plan is at Wildman and Arey's. Patrons are asked to note that the performance will begin each evening at 7.45 punctually.

George Walsh, the American actor, is seen in "On the Jump" at the National. The purchase of a New York newspaper by the German Government is the basis of tho fc film. George Walsh is seen as a young reporter, who first interviews President Wilson after everyone else fails, then develops into a liberty bond salesman,

and finally exposes Germany's scheme to control American opinion in its favour through proposed Germanowned newspapers. Miss Madlaine Traverse, is seen in "The Danger Zone," a dramatic photoplay. She rises into fame Avith her voice, and. is about to marry a very Avealthy man Avhen her former sweetheart, thinking to profit by her fame, turns up. The climax is a powerful one. Miss Traverse has several big scenes and carries each of them Avith a power that holds the close interest and sympathy of her audience.
