ENGLAND MAY NOT PLAY CUP POLO TILL 1921.

Britons Lack Organisation and Suitable Mounts to Stage Contest Next Spring, says Yankee Rag.

HEMPSTEAD, L.l.—-Word has been received here that in all likelihood there will be no international polo game in England next spring owing to the inability of the English players to organise and purchase suitable mounts.

Henry L. Herbert, tlie chairman of the National Polo Association, said to-day that it was generally understood among the members of the Burlingham Club of England, that a challenge would not be sent unless it was possible with them to, take up the, situation. The large number of British players who recently returned from the war have not as yet

had time to adjust their affairs, and the posjsible postponement of the match as greatly due to conditions in England not being favourable for international competition at this time.

With two available teagnis to represent the United States and all players and mounts in perfect condition, there were high hopes for the success of the team that would be selected by the Polo Association to be sent to England.
