At the Town Hall Concert Chamber on Thursday evening, October 23, at 8.15, Miss Stella McLean, the gifted dramatic soprano, will te heard in some of her finest work. Miss McLean will sing, among other notable items, "Morning Hymn" (Georg Henschel), "Un bel di Vedremo" (Puccini), and Bishop's "Lo, Hear the Gentle Lark" (the last with a flute obligato by Mr. George Poore. The singer will be assisted by Miss Madge McLean (piano), Mr. Barry Coney (vocalist), and Mr. George Poore (flautist).

Mr. Vivian H. Potter, who worked for law and order in the Waihi strike, announces himself as a "Reform" candidate for the Roskill seat in Parliament.
