HOUSEHOLD HINTS.
To Clean White Paint. Soda and soapy water will injure painted doors or walls. Clean the paint with a mixture of whiting and cold water. Dip a clean- flannel in the mixture, and rub over the paint, rinse with clear water and dry. The paint will become, clean and freshlooking. To Remove Paint from Clo.thes. Equal parts of ammonia and turpentine will remove paint from clothing, even after the paint has become hard and dry. Saturate the spots several times until they yield. Then wash the article in soapsuds.
