Auckland will soon be one mass of badges, as. the new Government badge is being issued. and also saw service in India. He was, after his discharge from the Imperial Army, in charge of the police at Rarotonga, and came to New Zealand with the Niue Islanders. Sergeant-Ma jor Holmes also saw service with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force.
