"Where sails the British Navy? asked the Captain's little boy "The Navy steams around the world., our foemen to destroy," The jolly skipper answered; "It is Britain's oride and joy, "Her strength and lasting guard: her gallant Navy. , " - .;.; "By Polar fields of icebergs; , by tlie lonely Shetland crags; ■•... v•" -■ "By Sicily, where for the,sponge the, brown Italian drags; '■ "■ . _ -■ "By Austral's temperate continent,. Britannia waves her flags_ ■-_ ■ > "On flagpoles in the mighty British Navy. ' ..." "Where toss the palms of-.Teneriffe on white and burning sands ■ "Tho ironclads are steaming, while the crews, with busy hands _ . Are working at their labour, for.the = sailor understands' . ■■,-" "He keens with him the honour ot the Navy. "Tlie Western pines have seen the ships pass lone Canadian shores; "Their smoke has floated high in air above the dim Azores, "And where on Madagascar s coast the rocking billow roars "The sea-gulls chant a love-song to the Navy." "And who will dare to boats?" the Captains-boy then asked: . .
