_ The Auckland Choral Society will ©ing Mendelssohn's great oratorio "Elijah," in the Town Hall.on the evening of Tuesday, August 24, at 8 p.m. The Society has been assiduous in its practice of the masterpiece, and has arrived at a high degree of technical and .expressive excellence.
