The firs-t representative match of the season will be d'eoided at Eden Park next Saturday afternoon. Mr D. Gallaher has chosen the following to represent Auckland :—

Full-back: Moffit (City). Three-quarters: Barker (College Rifles), D. Stewart (City), B. Clarke (Marist Brothers). Five-eighths: King (College Rifles), Barclay (City). Half-back: Lang (City). Wing forward: 0. Stewart (City). Forwards: G. Selllars (Ponaonby), Casey (Marist Brothers), "Avery (Pohso,nby), McHugh (College Rifles), A. Campbell (City), Bruce (City), Muir (Parnell). Emergencies: Forwards, R. Sellare (College Rifles), Grace (Marist Brothers)," Nesibit (College Rifles); backs, Prussing (University), SAV,affield (University), Soantlebury (College Rifles).

The team will meet for training at the City shed on Thursday evening.

Auckland and Taranaki have met upon thirty occasions, and the record reads: Auckland nineteen wins, Taranaki eight, and! three games drawn. The points record is: Auckland 247, Taranaki 142. In ;bhe dtrawn games, upon two occasions.C|jo-score was registered j while, once' three points each was recorded. The last drawn game was in 1898,, the match being played at Auckland.
