BOWLING.

The principal businefie before bowlers at the present time is the meeting of delegates to be held in the Chamber of Commerce, S'wan;son! Street, on Tuesday next, the 10th inst., for the purpose of electing a treasurer ana council for the North Island.

The nominations are as follows: — T. Bush, Wellington; V. Casey, Auckland; L. Cohen, Wanganui; V. Dimock, Wellington; J..S. Keith, Wellington; E. Moult, Wellington; E. A. Power, South Auckland ; S. H. Underwood, Wellington ; Maxwell Walker, Auckland. Election of treasurer :—F. Barlow, Christchurch ; F. J. Steans, Christchurch.

Quite a lot of interest was lent to the games on Rocky Nook green on Saturdlay by the visit of representatives from three sister clubs.

Rawhiti were represented by Townley, Paterson, Long and McKinlay, and were pitted against Turner, Aspden, Hirst and J. Jenkin.

After a closely contested game Jenkin piloted his team to victory by a majority of 5 points. Scores: 26----21.

The men from Devonport, Champion, Johnston, Pitts and , Fogartv, were Tip a,gainst William®, Pearce, B. Kayes and Bouskill .

The Shoreites made no race of it from the jump, and finished Tip winners by a big majority. Scores: 35----9.

Avondale sent along Powley, Buscombe, Barrow and Leighton, who had as their opponents Daisley, W. Gladding, Geo. Gladding and! Will Jen kin.

The local men' fought an uphill game all the Avav, and iust managed to notch a win l>y 3 points. Scores: 31-28.

In fhe ordinary draw Wakerley proved too good for Butler, whilst Muir and; Fraiser fought out a closely contested! game

Om the last head Muir required 2 to win, and! When the last bowl was played he lay 3 and thus won by 2 points.
