ASSOCIATION.
The Association games were continued on- Saturday last, most of the grounds being rather muddy.
The Everton v. Brotherhood match was playedl at Bayewater, and, after a good hard game, resulted, in a wm for Brotherhood by 2 to 1. A few minutes after the game opened a melee occurred in, front of Everton s goal, and Jackson shot the ball towards goad. Roberts claimed to have cleared before the ball went over the line, but the referee ruled 1 a goal. Brotherhood' continued to attack strongly but Everton's goalie, Craxton, played a splendid game, saving several times. Just before spell, Pearson scored! Brotherhood's second goal.
Everton opened the second spell strongly and Boyne netted the ball, but was ruled off-side. Soon, after Baker scored from a free kick. Evertoni played well in this spell, but failed to increase their score, and the game finished in favour of Brotherhood. Baker, Boyne, Booth and) Oraxton were prominent for Everton, as were A. Pearson and Jackman for Brotherhood.
The meeting of Tabernacle and Adult School resulted in a win for Tabernacle by 4 to 2, the red/ and blacks proving too strong for the School. In the first spell Crabbe (2) and Stewart scored' for Tabs., and Harrison and Sagar for Adult School. In the second spell Dow scored; Tabernacle's fourth goal. Crabbe and Stewart played good games for the winners, as did Dance and E. Harrison, for the School.
Shore diefeated V.M.C.A. by one goal l to nil. Neither side scored 1 in the first half. Im the second spell Shore started strongly, but lost one
or two good opportunities to score. The game was fairly even, and Jenkins, securing the ball, took a shot at V.M.C.A. goal, but tlie ball went too high. Jenkins andi Allison again returned, but V.M.C.A. goalie saved well. Shortly before time Wil.lia.irs centred, and Jenkins scored the only goal of the match.
