(For the Observer. ) Now, there is a river that flows thro' avalley — The wonderful Valley of Rest ; No folk from the world to its banks ever sally, For it is far out in the West ; 'Tis only in legends we bear of its glory, 'Tis only in fairy-books told, And yet I've no doubt there's some truth in the story That this is a river of gold.
