NOT A WHITE ELEPHANT BY ANY MEANS.
The Horticultural Show
CLOSE upon %f l^^S^grifolloWis .the; H^|ujt|ra£ Show, which was iheld last Friday and Saturday in the Choral HsU. -, The exhibition was quite a success, although a Kttle more foresight and attention to detail would have rendered it still ■ more so.' There, was- rather too much evidence of hurry in; some cases, :an«l then on Saturday, when the stands were somewhat 'depleted, why wan there no organ to fill up the. void? Beyond these details, we nave -nothing but praise for the Society's Show ai <l * those who have worked so hard lo bring it to a successful issue. The " exhibits were most creditable. The children's betokened much care ami ykill, and the arrangements, from a picturesque point of view, were admirable. Excepting the one or two animadversions we have thought fit lo make, we heartily congratulate all concerned on a happy realisation of their efforts.
