Okoari is still lame.

Racing at the Shore on Saturday. Cojur de Lion has been retired. Revenue may go to England. Good dividends at Alexandra Park last Saturday. The Takapuna racecourse is in splendid order. Palaver gave no sort of a run for favourite money at Wellington. The Gipsy Grand blood out again in liuperator. Five furlongs in 1.3 1-5. Cannie Chiel not altogether a nonstayer after all. He can get 1£ mile, and may get farther. Glenogle and Djin Djin are being galloped right handed at Kiccarton with a view to the Ellerslie Summer Meeting. The Thames Jockey Club have been favoured with excellent nominations for their .summer meeting. The entries cover nominations drawn from all parts of the northern racing districts. Auckland owners have nominated very freely indeed. With such splendid entries, the Thames Meeting promises to be a really good summer lixture. The Otahuhu Trotting Club made a very good start indeed for their spriug meeting at Alexandra Park. They could not have wished for a better day, and as the attendance was exceptionally good, and money plentiful, the club hud reason to be well satisfied with their opening. There was some very good racing, both trotting and pony, and though backers were rather out of it when it came to collecting dividends, yet all would enjoy the day's sport. Under similar conditions on the concluding day, the club should wind up their meeting in a very satisfactory manner.
