KAWAKAWA.
The Rifle Ball was a grand success, over fifty couples being present. Dancing was carried on with great vigour till early morniDg. There was little doubt as to who was belle. .Who were the three ladies on the stage who took part in the tableau, ' When shall we three meet again ?' Was there a coolness f..BF and J R looked very loving in the corner. . Who la the military gentleman that danceß the polka so beautifully? la it P D?..HM looked very bewitching. Were you trying to captivate A W7..L M looked very downhearted' Was it on account of G D being absent?.. Who were the two hi?htoned gents that were skipping the light fantastic all the way from the country, doutcherknow?. .H M seems quite taken np with Miss C ?. . V R is making no race of it for D O's affections. .Ask W M what price dates ? . . Who was the simple youth that got beaten for his young lady ? Waß it J M? Better luck next time, Jim.. What would 0 D say if he knew J L took his best girl out for a walk after church on Sunday ?
