A grand ball waß held in the Ohaupo Hall on Friday, the 12. h July, and waa well patronised. Oar MC, Mr C Teddy, performed hie duties in a most creditable manner The music was supplied by Mr A 0 Jones, and was excellent. The O M waß there and noticed a few spooners, of which he awarded the cake to J C and VG. Too bai of you, J, while the other boy was away. .Too bad of D M to give T D a free pass, and then let F T beat him for that girl..P Mc has no patience since the httle girl left here. Never mind, P ; there'll come a time some day. .Too bad of A C to have all hiß extras with A M. Give the O M a show, A.. What prioe A P's collar T The O M' would like to borrow one for the much-talked-of comiag ball.. EC looks downhearted since the blacksmith lef c. The O M missed fi B very much. Are the dancers not select enough?. .What brings S 0 over here- bo often ? Is it to take up the blacksmith's position ?..C T had a great time during the absence of Miss J. What would she have said had she heard the loving words that passed between you and E in that set of lancers t Take the O M's advice, and don't talk so loud.. J J .seems to have been taken np with the little Te Aroha girl. ' What abont E C, J ?..The 0 M would like to know what started the row between D M and D W. Was it over the two little girls in red?.. A Eis still lingering in agony with MG. Now then, A, look sharp, or you will be losing her. .Did T D get a commission for importing fa. girl from Cambridge ? ..There must have been great attraction for D H at Pirongia to miss the local ball. . . Wanted, a best boy f or MC ; one with a 'mo ' preferred . . Who was the yeung man that was teaching XC to waltz ? Surely not DW?..DM says he worships the soil that K walks upon.
