In response to a cordial invitation to attend tbe dancing class and take notes, tbe 0 M was there, and while the first lancers were in progress, thought he. must have mistaken the night, and attended a wrestling competition instead. The endeavours of the young-gentlemen to ' floor ' their partners elicited rounds of applause from the spectators, who had grudingly paid a 'bob' to look on, but wbo afterwards deolared they had never got so muoh amusement for the Bame sum before.. J G Beeme to quite recent anyone else swinging with I L. .It was as refreshing as a spring shower to see D R and J W doing the polka, one with a hop and one without. .D says he can danoe as well as B S, anyhow. . S S says he did not get a chanoe to ask C K for a danoe, but would next time. .H E is one of those unselfish men who dance only with the best. .It was mistaken kindness on a certain gentleman's part to Bhow S W the waltz ; Bhe said she knew it . . E E says he was paid to stay away.
