A very pleasant dance eventuated on Tuesday evening in the schoolroom, and was fairly well attended. Messrs Bruce and Bolton kindly supplied the music, which was much appreciated. Mr Harry Lee acted as M C in his usual courteous manner, but seemed rather out of sorts. Wai it because M B was not there?.. The girl who stole J's heart away has had a tough job to make it tender, but she's melting it down all right, and no other girl— not even from Pironga — will ever have a show with it ..N J has run W L off in the race for JB, but look out for C G ; he has a weakness there... When are H B, and E H going to fix matters up ? It is about time, H, as you seem to be best boy there now. ..What is up with N k and M B lately ? Have they fallen out ?... Wanted, a perfect young man, Apply at once to E H between the hours of 5 and 7 p.m.. ..They say that H His the biggest flirt in Te Rore, and seems to be a favourite with all the young ladies, is that so, H?...When are A D and B H going to take the plunge? About time. ..The Christy Minstrels were a 'howling' success. ' Sambo ' E A quite took the cake — indeed, he kebt the whole show alive.. H B •was also in good form...HH was heard to great advantage in ' Dinah.' Was he thinking of C B ?. .Why did I H give it best ? Did J object ? . . W B seemed nervous, and failed to keep on the tune...Too bad of the ' niggers ' to treat the audience to a hymn They will be passing round the plate next time.. C was the favourite singer of the eveniug. Pity V was not present to hear hi 3 sweet tenor.
