POLLOK.
Pollok was enlivened 1 on the 29fch of July with a grand ball. There were about eleven couples present. Messrs W Smith and J Pye supplied the music... E W was all there with JC. What will Mr B say, Jessie ?,,BD says you can't eD joy yourself when yon can't even get a sniff of the cork...The 0 M admired H H's style of dancing, and would be glad of a lesson.. What was the matter with G I after supper ? : Was it the strong tea which affected him ?...W S looks a bit mashed on M R...The O M admired T M's dancing clogs. .H G didn't think the 0 M was about, and did a big mash in the corner with BR. What will the Waiuku girl, say, H ?. .H S says J G is a nice, gentle dancer. .R T was piling on the jam with M K. What will the restaurant girl say, Bob ?. . A 8 says it is much better dancing with somebody else's brothers than your own.
