TIKORANGI (TARANAKI)
The annual ball was held on the 27th, and was an unqualified success. Notwithstanding the boisterous weather, the hall was throughly packed, and everyone seemed to enjoy the function immensely. The music was supplied by Mr and Miss Skelton in first-class style, and extras were kindly played by Misses Armstrong, Stockman, Elliot, and Mr Butterworth. The floor was in perfect order, and the supper tattle gave a very pretty appearance, decorated as it was with all the choicest flowers of the season, and laden with all kinds of delicacies. Great credit is due to the energetic committee for the manner in which they carried out their duties.
