Are you aware that Wellington came very, badly out of the debate in the House on the Municipal Franchise Reform Bill ? The disclosures made during the discussion on the Bill clearly showed that in the matter of reeking slums our lovely metropolis stands without a rival in New Zealand, and is a close runner-up to the English capital.
