NO T ICE OF INTENTION TO TAjflE PRIVATE LAND IN THE PARISH OF HIKURANGI FOR A TRAMWAY TO BE USED IN CONNECTION WITH THE WORKING OF A COAL-MINE. Whereas the Hikurangi Collieries (Limited) has made application, under the provisions of the sixty-first section of 'The Coal Mines Act, 1891,' to take the land described in the schedule hereto, for the purpose of constructing thereon a tramway to connect the said Company's coal-mine with the Whangarei Kamo Railway Extension : Now, -therefore, notice is hereby given that the land described in the schedule hereto is required to be taken under the provisions of ' The Public Works Act, 1894,' and 'The Coal - mineß Act, 1891,' for a , tramway to be used in connection with the working of a coalmine. And notice is hereby further given that a plan, showing the area of the land so required to be taken, is deposited in the Post-office, Hikurangi, and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they hays any well-grounded objections thereto, set forth Buch objections in writing, and Bend such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Minister of Mines, Wellington.
