WAIRANGI.

A very nice evening's amusement was spent in the hall. I won't say what it was (a ball or what), but I believe some of those present were trying to dance and others were doing their level best to sing. Others, again, were quite content to devote themselves to mashing in the corners.. JF and MT ornamented one corner very handsomely ; but, oh. do try and keep awake next time. J... A J. T J and K F set the other end off very gaudily... JM stuck tight to B M, and loobs all over a winner.. J S and WMe are having a big bid for J B, but neither has a hope... Was MrsM afraid of the Rangiriri boys running away with one of her chicks that she kept vigilant watch all night?.. Miss P looked very disconsolate, and there was enough cause to make her so, I think, when G P was lying under the tree... J S was piling it on with AG. Mind you Bre not had up lor baby-stealing, J...L M has lost her masher. I hope she will give the OM a show now... A B and P Me are a long time about clinching the bargain. They ought to rush it up, now the boom is on. ..How quiet TMe is keeping now. He used to be such a ladies' man. . J S and B R are fairly launched on the route to the altar. Don't forget the O M when it comes off ... Water is now to bear the burden hitherto borne by whisky at the Wairangi dances.
