The Committee tender their -warmest thanks to the ever-generous Auckland public who patronised the above Picnic in such large numbers at Lake Takapuna on Saturday last. They also heartily thank the Hon. W. T. Jennings, M.L C, J. J. Holland, Esq., M.H.R., and P.P G.M. John Ley don for acting as Judges of SportsThe Committee are under a deep obligation to Messrs Alison for the use of the paddocks in which the Sports were held. They also recognise the ability of Mr Alexander Alison in his careful regulation of the traffic, no accident having ever happened at any of the Premier Picnics. The thanks of the Committee are tendered to the proprietors of the Herald, Star, and Observes for the prominence given to the Premier Picnic in their local columns. The Committee also tender their sincere thanks to all who in any way assisted in making the Fifth Premier Picnic and 53rd Anniversary Celebration of the Auckland District of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows the success it undoubtedly was.
