EAST TAMAKI.
A bon ton dance was held at A's on a recent Saturday night as a sort of general thanksgiving on hearing that little J had 6 ecided to stay with us. It was very exclusive, none but the cremc de la crone of Tamaki society being present. The OM, being only a humble descendant of Father Adam, was not among the chosen, so is obliged to depend chiefly on hearsay.. WE seemed rather undecided as to which of those young ladies he preferred. A regular case of 'How happy could I be with either, were t'other dear charmer away.'.. Why did M S wear her hat all the evening? Afraid of draughts, I pre sume...Oor musical J F has taken to wearing a cap. Vr hat would the Thames boys say, J, if they saw you sporting their football colours while driving a metal cart?...E F was hurried off to town on rather short notice last week. Who told tales out of school?.. Most people think a strawberry on the end of a string the be3t bait when angling for a sweetheart, but J F has more faith in peaches. .The O M took a walk abroad last Sunday and noticed that T W now rides on the right side of his lady companion, and that J S wears his coat. A word to the wise is sufficient.
