OTAHUHU TROTTING CLUBS SUMMER MEETING.
Had laet Saturday morning been fine, this fixture wonld now be of the pasc. Bat the very gloomy oatlook last Satnrday morning compelled a postponement. There wonld probably have been a considerable loss of Tevenne had the meeting gone on, although the afternoon actually proved fine Last week I gave my impresbions, bnt I had then do acceptances to go on. On Saturday afternoon next (6th inst.) the concluding events will be run, and as there are one or two alterations in the prospect, I will give my anticipations as follows : — Second Maiden Pony, 5 furlongs. — Lena, Lady Howitzer, Kaipara. Trial Trot, 1£ miles —Darlington, Miss Huon, Lusitania. Pony Cup, 1 mile. — Lady Howitzer, Dove, Bit o' Fashion. Suburban Trot, 2 miles. — Miss Huon, Darlington (subject to running of Trial), Hurricane next best. Steeplechase, 2* miles. — Helena or Little Kaven. Harness Trot. 2§ miles. — Wahinapai, Lusitania, Slim Jim. Pony Handicap, 5 furlongs — Germina, Kaipara, Lena.
